EVERETT, Wash. — Court records say a Washington man was found with drugs, a gun and more than $40,000 after a routine traffic stop.

The Daily Herald reports documents filed last week in Snohomish County Superior Court say the 53-year-old suspect is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver.

A police report says a Lake Stevens police officer pulled over the driver in July for failing to transfer a title on a recently sold vehicle.

When the passenger said he owned the truck, the officer took his information and ran a search. It turned out the man had two felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.

Police found 1.2 grams of heroin, traces of methamphetamine, a digital scale with drug residue and .44-caliber handgun and $43,245 in the trunk.
